About Doors Open

The Northern Trails Heritage Society is hosting a Doors Open celebration starting in July 2024.

Doors Open celebrates the built heritage in our Northeastern communities by encouraging participants to visit different historic buildings and tourism locations throughout the region at no charge. The program has continued to expand from there, bringing in other organizations and businesses to help support and take part.

  • Dawson Creek & Pouce Coupe: July 6th

  • Fort St. John, Taylor, and the Charlie Lake Tse’k’wa National Historic Site: July 13th

  • Hudson’s Hope, Bear Flat, and Chetwynd: July 20th

  • Tumbler Ridge: July 27th

The Doors Open Program is made possible thanks to support from:

We acknowledge the financial support of the following participants:

Hudson’s Hope Museum • Fort St. John North Peace Museum • Tumbler Ridge Museum • Pouce Coupe Museum • Little Prairie Heritage Museum • District of Tumbler Ridge • District of Taylor • Dawson Creek & District Chamber of Commerce
