The South Peace Historical Society is a charitable organization established in 1952, with the mandate to collect, preserve, and display information related to the history of the Peace River area of British Columbia. The Society promotes the heritage of the region by supporting the operations of the Station Museum, Walter Wright Pioneer Village, an Archives Facility, and a committee of the Peace Country Roots Group.

The Peace Country Roots Group’s objective is to encourage, bring together and assist all those interested in the pursuit of family history. The group has a large library of genealogical books and material stored at the Roots building situated in the NAR Park.
